Shaun + Tosin - A Landsdowne Resort Wedding|| Virginia Wedding Photographers

This is a special one, it goes back to my very first paid job. Tosin was my first client, I photographed his 30th birthday party and once he received his photos, he booked his wedding. The one thing I remember him saying was go and practice, seeing how at that time I had only professionally shot his party. Well I have had quite a bit of practice since then and I have brought almost everything I've learned to this wedding.

The day started off pretty eventful, it rained all morning and being an outdoor wedding we prepared for the worst. As time passed the clouds cleared, the downpour seized and things started to look promising. Oh! and how promising they were.

Shaun and Tosin were great to work with, they made the photography component of their wedding a huge priority and that made things run smoothly for me. Here is their fabulous wedding story.

Nneoma + Ralph - A Michigan Wedding

I have to say this was one of the greatest experiences I have had photographing any event. I had not met Nneoma or Ralph till the afternoon of the traditional wedding but had been in contact with Nneoma's sister Adaobi. Adaobi's personality should have set the tone for what was to come. These guys were CRAZY FUN! within seconds of meeting them, all the initial awkwardness was out the door, I felt like I had known them for years and it made the process of capturing their special day very intimate. Here are a few shots from the day.

Ugochi + Nnamdi (From a Wedding Guest's Perspective)

Where does one start? I remember seeing their engagement session photos on Facebook and thinking OMG! It was shot underwater and had this feeling of Greek Mythology meets African Tradition, they looked like gods. Now, let me be clear, I'm strictly talking about the photography and the illusion that was created and not stroking anyones ego :-) Anyhoo! When I received the invitation in the mail, it kinda set the tone for what to expect and deliver it did. I brought my camera with me to the event and every photographer knows it is hard to put that camera down. It was a really amazing time, the official photographer was awesome, allowing the rest of us to share the space with him. So here are a few shots of their wedding from my perspective.
