2016: The Best Of...

2016 was an eventful year to say the least, filled with major highs and extreme lows, it really did redefined our understanding of the world and humanity but despite all the craziness of the year, I was blessed to have been able meet a bunch of amazing folks who entrusted me to document their most precious moments and share in their happiness and for that I am eternally grateful. My family was blessed with a tiny person and I just can't get over her new baby smell. I got to work with a ton of other talented professionals and have forged new relationships. In 2016 I was able to grow as a photographer, fine tune who I am as an artist and really understand my place in the world even more. So in restrospect 2016 was a great year and I'm looking forward to an even greater 2017. Here are a few of my favorite photos of 2016.

Ese + Ola - The Wedding before the Wedding || Washington DC Wedding Photographer

It's was a nice Friday morning. The bride, groom and I showed up in our unplanned matching outfits and I pretty much knew it would be a good day. These two decided to do a little something special for themselves prior to the grand fiesta in April. It was really intimate and warm. I was honored to be in attendance and able to play my role in documenting it. Here are a few of the images from their special day.

Jade + Wil - An Engagement Session at the US National Arboretum || Washington DC Wedding Photographers

IT WAS COOOOOOLLLLDDD!!!! What's that old saying? When life gives you lemons you make lemonade? Well I'd like to think this was the coldest day of the year so far, not only did we have to deal with the temperature, we were also facing 20mph wind gusts which only made it colder. Once I sawthe obstacles we were facing, I knew it was going to be a good day. Jade and Wil came ready to play. We met up and the US National Arboretum and just made beautiful music together. Here are my favorites from their engagement session.
