Collins and Michia are both from Prince George's County. They started dating in 2004 at Hampton University and have been together ever since. They were long distance since 2005 as they pursued their individual career paths and now finally back home, they are ready to pull the plug. Michia works as a pediatric dentist in Maryland and Collins works as a Television Producer/Director/Editor. They were both amazing to work with and I look forward to documenting their wedding next year.
One of the special things about being a photographer is that inside look you get into the lives of your clients. Some times we are able to follow them through the various stages of their lives, a proposal, the engagement, the wedding, the maternity session, a newborn and then the family photos. We get to see them grow, we get to document the stories and hear the inside jokes. My Journey with Seghen and Berhane started with their Maternity Session and now their amazing son Reem is here. How time flies, it was like just yesterday when Temi and I lived in the gym and I would talk about how I decided to start taking photos. Between sets I would pull out my phone with new photos I had taken and talk about the progress I had made and the goals I had set. Fast forward a few years and I'm he and his new wife's wedding photographer. This was probably one of the most enjoyable weddings I have been a part of this year. Not only were Jamie and Temi easy to work with, it was fun working with them. After I photographed their engagement session I knew it would be a breeze simply because of the chemistry they share on and off camera. Here are a few of my favorites from their wedding day!
